Registration

  • Who can register? Currently, only citizens from the USA and Canada that are 18 years of age or older may register. In the future, we plan to expand to more countries.
  • Is it free to register?  Yes. It is free to register and create a basic account.
  • I cannot upload my profile photo.  For profile photos, only .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, and .png files up to 5MB are supported.

Premium Membership

  • What is included with premium? 
    • Messages can be sent to, or read from, other users
    • Other user's profiles are unlocked for you to view their details
    • Your profile photos are expanded from one to ten photos
    • Your profile open-text fields are unlocked to add more details
    • The Grow Passport function is unlocked for you to use
  • What is the price and how do I upgrade?  After you register, visit the Account page. Then, scroll to the bottom and select from the Fee and Timeline dropdown to see the current rates available. Choose one and click "Pay Now" to begin the process.
  • Why is there a fee?  We do not sell personal data or advertisement space like other platforms do.
  • Does my subscription renew automatically?  No, subscriptions do not renew automatically. Be sure to renew before it expires!
  • The discount code I have does not work.  Discount or promotion codes are offered on a limited basis for a limited time.
  • I subscribed, but the page header still says my profile is basic. Reset the page by logging out and logging back in.

Directory

  • Why aren't more people near me? Growgi is a new startup. It may take time for more users to join. You can help by sharing Growgi with your friends.
  • I can't find anyone in a certain town.  A city name could have an abbreviation or multiple spellings (such as Mt. Example or Mount Example).  Be sure to try more than one possibility or use the zip code.

Email / Messaging

  • I'm a premium member. How can I send a message?  On a member's profile, click the "Start Conversation" link.  This will take you to the Communication page and a new thread with this member will be created. After a chat thread is started, you can simply return to the Communication page to continue your conversation. If the user is a basic member, they will receive a notice that you sent a message. If the user is a premium member, they can read the message.
  • How do I delete a message thread?  Messages auto delete after 180 days.

Grow Passport

  • Who will know my travel plans?  Any member that is searching for travelers in a particular area, during a particular time period, will see your profile. The exact postal code and dates of travel are not identifiable to other users but are searchable items.

Profile

  • I want to upload more than one photo.  Additional photos are for premium members only.
  • Why are some fields locked out?  Certain text fields are reserved for premium members only.
  • I cannot find a name on the Follow/Like Menu.  There are lots of people out there in the self-development community. If you cannot find who you follow/like, simply add their name to the blank field below. That information is captured in the keyword search if anyone else is looking for members that like the same thing. Check the menu occasionally because a name could be added later.

Account

  • What is a new message notification?  If another member sends you a message through Growgi, you will receive an email notification..
  • What happens when I delete my account? Your profile is immediately removed from the user directory and your account information is saved for 30 days. You can reactivate your account during this time period. After 30 days, all information is permenantly deleted.
